Alison has spent over a decade developing projects at Academy Award-winning production companies — including Alex Gibney's Jigsaw Productions, The Documentary Group, and Story Syndicate — for HBO, Netflix, Showtime, CNN, Nat Geo, Hulu and many more. Recent greenlights with Story Syndicate include an eight-part series for HBO, as well as a feature and three-part series for Netflix.

As a producer and writer, Alison has created work across TV, film, and audio — working with teams big and small on everything from splashy streaming series to small grant-funded passion projects.

As a staff producer at The Documentary Group, she directed and produced short films for New York Times Op-Docs and REI Co-Op Studios, co-produced a feature documentary for VICE Studios, and sold and produced the company’s debut podcast Svetlana! Svetlana! for iHeartRadio. The 10-part series was named a Best Podcast of 2023 by Vulture and #1 on the Apple Podcast documentary charts. Most recently, she was a story producer on the second season of Amazon’s hit docuseries Shiny Happy People and produced the explosive ID/HBO Max series Ruby & Jodi. Her latest short film, directed by Fanny Texier, will premiere in competition at a major European festival in 2026.
